This is the Lahja unisex dressing gown from Named Patterns

I’ve made one before, over 2 years ago, in Minerva medium cotton waffle and it is worn most days; it’s definitely my most worn item of clothing!

I was looking to make a summer version and knew this Minerva Core Range Soft Stonewashed Ramie Linen (that they kindly provided for me, as a Minerva ambassador) would be perfect.

I was initially taken aback with the vividness of the lilac colour, but now made up, I love it in this dressing gown.

I made a size small in accordance with my bust measurement, the ‘short’ version with the ‘short’ sleeves. It’s the perfect summer length for my 5 ft3 frame.
It is an oversized pattern so definitely size down if you are in between sizes.

This Minerva Ramie linen is a bottom weight linen. Perfect for this, or trousers, shorts or a dress that needs a little structure.
The Lahja instructions are clear and easy to follow. I made this up in no time at all. It’s a great beginner pattern.

I’ve not used Ramie linen before. It feels substantial but soft and cool on the skin. A truly luxury item and highly recommended. I’m looking forward to wearing it throughout this summer!!

There’s really not a lot else to say about this make. It was good as a quick sew; getting back into the swing of things after my holiday and the inevitable post holiday blues.
The lilac is growing on me!!

Love, Lucie xx
Gorgeous color with your vacation tan! Love that textured fabric line. Well done! Just bought my sister a summer robe from Talbots— should have made one. She would love yours! 😉

Hi there, the robes look great! Do you think this pattern would work using a velvet?

Possibly but I’m not sure how cosy velvet is on the inside. I suppose it depends on the velvet 🤷♀️
