Staley Top by Elbe Textiles

This is my second Staley Top by Elbe Textiles

I’ve just had to part with my first, made back in 2020, as it became too bobbly.

It was a very quick sew which was a nice change!

The Staley Top comes with two patterns, perfect for layering together.

View A is a cropped pullover, featuring a split hem detail that is slightly longer at the back. View B is a semi fitted t-shirt with a scooped neckline and a curved hem.

I just made up the top pullover this time as I wanted something to layer over my recent light weight shirts but it also looks great by itself.

There’s also 2 cup size options B cup and a combined C/D cup. I made up a size C in the B cup.

I used a viscose knit from My Fabrics, which had been sitting in my stash since October 2021 and sadly is no longer available.

I made the same change to the pullover as I made previously.

I made it up in accordance with the pattern but made the bottom band piece as wide as the width of the top at the base.

The pattern has a shorter width front band, designed to pull up and gather the bottom of the front panel, but I prefer it laying flat.

I also added a couple of inches to the bottom band depth too, to make it a little less cropped.

All made up on my overlocker.

I love the shape of the neck line of the pullover to wear a with a shirt like this.

Love, Lucie xx
