A parcel!

I’m always excited by a parcel in the post, non the more so when I receive my parcel from Minerva Crafts containing the materials for my next 3 month’s makes as an Minerva blogger.

Would you like to see what I have in mind?

Ordering online, I find that sometimes the fabrics I request don’t actually match the pattern I had in mind and I have to rethink a project or two. But this time I think I’ve got my pattern and fabric matched pretty well.

First up is this retro print blue turquoise and cream stretch cotton canvas designer dress fabric

This, I plan to make up as this burda shift dress. I had planned to use this pattern last time but the cotton I ordered just didn’t have enough body to hold the shape.

The stretch cotton canvas will be perfect, I think.

Next on my list is another Myrtle. Do you remember this one?

Well I love it so much I ordered this absolutely gorgeous ivory and navy leaf print polyester dress fabric to make another. https://www.colettepatterns.com/sewing/myrtle
It is slightly heavier than the fabric I used before but has a particularly pleasing drape. I think it will look quite classy!

And last but not least is this lovely heavy red crepe.

I’m going to make another True Bias Sutton Blouse.

I wear this a lot for work so fancy another one. The crepe will be quite warm which be perfect for when I make this one up late August. It is rare that a choose a solid colour over a print but the seams in this blouse will give it some interest.

So what do you think?
So much loveliness.

Love, Lucie x

  1. oh my, three great choices! I wish I lived close enough that you could help me sew things that fit so well! I am good at following the instructions, but not great at altering patterns the way you do to make them perfect for you. 🙂
