Holiday linen blouse – another Olya

Posted by

We’re lucky enough to be heading to South Africa in November. It’s a trip to celebrate a big birthday; I’ll turn 50 whilst we are away.

We’ll be doing plenty of travelling around so I wanted some versatile layers for late spring/early summer temperatures of late teens to high 20’s

Having previously enjoyed making the Olya shirt by Paper Theory Patterns earlier in the year, I made up another but this time went down a size to a size 8.

I wore my white linen one so much in Greece, earlier this summer. Mainly with shorts as a cover up after a day on the beach. It’ll be coming with me on this trip too.

This one in this striped linen from Fabworks seems to be smarter but just needs a little wear to soften it up.

It was a lot quicker this time around. The previously head scratching pocket detail was a breeze this time!

Although I did refer to these Paper Theory Patterns videos again as a reminder.

I’ve a couple more things to make up. 3 and a half weeks to go and counting!

Love, Lucie xx

  1. Hi Lucie, both your shirts are lovely, very stylish! I hadn’t noticed this pattern before, it looks rather unique in its cut, I will put it on my wishlist. Have a lovely holiday and happy birthday 🥳 !
