Just a short post to show you my crochet hexagons, recently sent a short distance down the M1 to Patch.
This is for Patch’s Collaborative Blanket.
If you’d like to take part, this is the link with all the details.
http://madebypatch.wordpress.com/2014/02/18/collaborative-crochet-blanket-2014-the-beginning/
And remember, you only have to contribute up to 5 hexagons for a chance to win the finished blanket, made by us all.
The deadline is the end of April so you have plenty of time.
Patch has even given you links to hexagon patterns so you don’t even have to think too hard.
I was determined to use stash yarn, hence the slightly odd colour combination. But I imagine they will be distributed across the blanket so there was no need for them all to match.
I used a ‘puffed daisy’ hexagon pattern which I found on the ‘colourinasimplelife’ blog. Using this as the basis for the centre of the hexagon, I continued in trebles until I reached the specified size.
Looking forward to seeing what others have come up with.
Also looking forward to a nice glass of wine tonight. It’s Friday!!!!!
Love, Lucie xx

Your h puffs are stunning, and I think the blanket will benefit from a mish-mash of colours! Your line “The deadline is the end of April so you have plenty of time.” is hilariously funny. Hilariously.
