Turkish trinkets

Posted by

I love a souvenir pot.

Recently in Kalkan I was spoilt for choice.

I should have purchased more and stored them away for presents but I think I was overcome with the choice and sheer number from which to choose.
I returned with just these four.
I dread to think how much the pot decorator was paid. I picked these up for about a pound each.

I fell in love with all the use of pattern everywhere.

And especially this tin lid

I intend to use the colours on this lid in my first foray into patchwork.

But don’t hold your breath. Plenty to do before then.

Needless to say, when we return to Kalkan, I will take a spare bag and lots of bubble wrap.

Love, Lucie x
