This seems a slow old project, but actually only slow due being able to only snatch a couple of hours here and there to knit this Christmas cable scarf whilst the OH is not in the house.

I’m loving the cables though.
I love how something so simple to do (once you know how, of course) is so effective.
Post Christmas I have a plan to knit up a couple of grey chunky knit cable cushions for the living room.
Post Christmas? Ha!
Love, Lucie xx

Love the colour and cable really does look so nice! I have been meaning to try cable and actually wanted to knit cushion covers, I bought the little cable stitch holder (this must be the technical term lol) but never get round to it there are so many things I want to do and as I am a bit slow with all things I never get to doing them

When you finally get around to it, you will realise what you have been missing. I’m the same. I put things off, put things off and when I finally do them I wonder,’why didn’t I do this sooner?’
At least you’ll have the equipment ready.

I do like a nice bit of cabling and, you’re right, it’s easy when you know how yet looks so effective. Having said this, I bought some lookie likie fabric the other day just because it fascinated me and I wanted to have a closer look. Anyway, it’s arrived and it is very cool and I’m going to make cheater’s cushions out of it as the cats won’t be quite as inclined to get their claws into them as hand-knitted ones. Wow! It’s wonderful. I especially like the blue. What colour did you go for? You will have to post a pic. What an unusual idea. The japanese always seem one step ahead with fabric design. Thank you for sharing the link. x

Love the cables. I knit them too tightly, though. Someday I may get it. Thinking of covering a threadbare chair in old cableknit sweaters… We’ll see!

The scarf is gorgeous. I love the colour and your cables are excellent – so much better than mine (I’m a very slack knitter….) xx

The cables are so very neat. Slow and steady is fine as long as you don’t run out of time;)
