I am on a quest for the perfect knitted cowl pattern.
With my new found love of knitting (OK, I’ve only actually completed the back and half a front of a jumper), I’m weighing up my options for my next project.
I’m after something unique, chunky, soft, not scratchy, warm, but not boiling, something to jazz up a simple top; to make it look like I’ve made a real effort with my wardrobe, not actually just thrown something over my head.
I’ve started collecting these (below) on my Pinterest and Ravelry Pages.
I’ve come to realise they are all designed by just 2 designers, Madelinetosh and Purl Soho
Click on each photo to take you to the pattern.

So that’s the patterns sorted. I might have to make more than one.
Next the yarn. OMG!!!!
Love, Lucie xx
I love the first one. Have you tried knitting in the round yet?? 😉

Thanks for posting these — I just added a couple to my favorites on Ravelry! I bet you could seam the Seed Stitch Wrap to make it a big cowl — I might actually do that one soon! Now I have 20 cowls in my Ravelry faves. So many lovely warm cowls!

The seed stitch one is gorgeous but it not sure i could stand seed stitch for that long!

I really like the Ombre cowl – looks cosy & pretty. Couldn’t make any of them myself though so I’ll just have to admire your photos.

Yes, ombre is my favourite. It’s three different yarns and three different needle sizes.

they’re all lovely. My favourite cowl pattern is Stephen West’s Purl Ridge Scarf (except its a cowl!)

Just looked it up. I love it too but it seems its all about the yarn choice.

Yes, but all projects depend on that 😄

I love a cowl so I’d be happy to have any of them. However my favourite one is the ombre. Thanks for sharing and happy knitting xx

Have a look on my Pinterest board http://www.pinterest.com/ljv72/crochet/. I’ve a few pinned on there. I’m really torn between doing a crochet one or improving my knitting with a knitted one.
