Quest for the perfect knitted cowl

Posted by

I am on a quest for the perfect knitted cowl pattern.

With my new found love of knitting (OK, I’ve only actually completed the back and half a front of a jumper), I’m weighing up my options for my next project.

I’m after something unique, chunky, soft, not scratchy, warm, but not boiling, something to jazz up a simple top; to make it look like I’ve made a real effort with my wardrobe, not actually just thrown something over my head.

I’ve started collecting these (below) on my Pinterest and Ravelry Pages.
I’ve come to realise they are all designed by just 2 designers, Madelinetosh and Purl Soho

So that’s the patterns sorted. I might have to make more than one.

Next the yarn. OMG!!!!

  1. Thanks for posting these — I just added a couple to my favorites on Ravelry! I bet you could seam the Seed Stitch Wrap to make it a big cowl — I might actually do that one soon! Now I have 20 cowls in my Ravelry faves. So many lovely warm cowls!

  2. I really like the Ombre cowl – looks cosy & pretty. Couldn’t make any of them myself though so I’ll just have to admire your photos.
