Amongst the very many items pinned, these below are at the top of my list to make this season. Most of these images will take you straight to the source, where I could find one.
This was one of the very first things I pinned. So simple, so effective. This is at the top of my list.
This next one comes from a wedding accessories website but particularly suitable for Christmas, don’t you think?
I intend to make one of these out of a mini tartan print to add some extra Christmas woof.
This is a recent find.
I’m going to use my sparkly felt for this project.
We always make something new for the tree every year. It is like revisiting Christmases past; opening up our tree decoration box. Sometimes we think, ‘Wow, did we really make that!’
This will be this years addition.
And these, which my daughter will make, adorned with some ribbons and bells.
And finally to Christmas cards.
I intend to make all my cards this year. Crazy? Yes!
I’m taking inspiration from these two images.
I’ve been practicing my free hand machine embroidery with mixed results, but I’m getting better.
It is 5 weeks exactly, until Christmas Day. Arrrrggghhhh!

Ooh, let us know how you get on with your freehand machine embroidery. I’ve tried it a couple of times but I couldn’t relax into it and felt all out of control. Same with freehand quilting – I get on quite well for a while but then I panic and it’s a bugger getting those stitches out again! I’ve put a book about it on my Christmas Wishlist so that might be helpful. I like those clay hearts – looks like something I could get my daughter to do. Is it modelling clay that you bake afterwards ‘cos, if so, I have some of that in my stash.
As for my Christmas makes, I am putting some binding round a quilted table runner that I started to make for last year’s festivities and never got round to finishing so I’d better not make too many plans
Off to buy 3 different sized wreaths – I’m sure I could fit that project in.

The embroidery was initially appalling! I’m hoping it will get more natural the more I do. The possibilities are endless if I can crack it!
It is modelling clay that you bake to make those hearts. But I’ve also seen a recipe for a corn flour clay that apparently dries like porcelain.

Seeing all that in print is a bit daunting. Don’t be surprised if the Scotty garland turns into a spring/Easter bunny one!

Yes, me too. A really quick make. I’m going to fill the ‘pillows’ with rice so they have a chance of not falling over and I’ll crush some cinnamon for fragrance.

Just when I think I have seen every Christmas craft idea that has ever been created, along comes your post and I see there are so many more! These are all great, I love the button star…although I think little hands in this house would be wanting to pick at it! 🙂

Glad you enjoyed my post and thanks for the follow. There are so many ideas out there aren’t there? I try to make things from the supplies I’ve collected along the way but it’s not always possible. Thankfully my 12 year old is beyond the destruction stage. 🙂

I love it all! I particularly like the clay idea, it would be perfect for the kids. I want to go home, bake cookies, listen to Christmas music and make pretty things!

Love these little stars, they will add a real twinkle to your festive decorations. The colours are amazing but I guess they would work in almost any combination of colours.

I’m going to stick to the brightest of colours and possibly attach a few of them as bunting. Just wish there were more hours in the day. I might have said that before. Once or twice….
