10 minute make

Looking for ways of using up my oil cloth surplus, this weekend, I came up with this.

Shiny new peg bag

This replaces this

A quick 10 minute make from start to finish. An improvement don’t you think?

And I thought I would leave you with this.

  1. I can imagine Pinterest getting addictive but, as I have too many online addictions already (although no seedy ones!), I am sticking to mostly using mine as a memo board for things I’ve seen and want to find easily again.

  2. LOVE the peg bag!!! What a great idea to do it in oilcloth – rain proof – needed in UK definitely. I haven’t sewn oilcloth before, must try. Love the pinterest cartoon also – I haven’t tried it yet – or facebook, or twitter – last of the dinosaurs.

    1. You are hardly a dinosaur if you’re blogging! I would say the wordpress format is far more tricky to find your way around than the others. I struggled in the early days. I still don’t quite get Twitter, although I have a personal facebook account to keep up to date with friends and family. Anyway too much social networking is just another form of procrastination!

  3. Oh my! I love your peg bag. I want one. Please tell me you’re selling them on Etsy or Folksy! My handmade fabric one bought at some arty fair years ago has just ripped. I had considered knitting one, but clearly an oilcloth one is what I need!

    1. I’m just in the process of setting up the etsy shop after not having much success on folksy. Due the the amazing response to this humble peg bag I’ve ordered some nicer hangers to make up a dozen for my shop and craft stall. Give me a week.
      Thanks for the lovely comment.

  5. What a great and waterproof way to store your pegs AND use up left over fabric. I did laugh at the pinterest picture too – I’m about to embark on the pinterest journey too – so maybe I’ll just show it to my partner!

    1. You have been warned! I can easily loose myself for over an hour or two. And then you get Pinterest guilt for all the hundreds of projects you pin to make but couldn’t possibly find the time!

  6. Hi Lucie! Just had a snoop on your Folksy site and found the perfect gift for my stepson’s wife, who loves owls 🙂 you have an order before the peg bags go up! I did put the wrong postcode on my delivery (work) address. Perhaps I could email you the correct one! Xx
