I have oil cloth left over from these outdoor cushions I made last weekend – I think I might have put a kibosh on the summer.
Oil cloth doesn’t fold down well for storage so it needs to be used up.
I’ve been looking for inspiration.
However, on my oil cloth project tour of discovery I came across this amazing selection of oil cloth!!!
I could go on, but I won’t.
This lovely lot came from Norfolk Textiles.

How could you walk away from all that, though?! It looks so beautiful.
And, I think I might blame you for the terrible turn this weather has taken too. Could you make a woolly hat next so we might be in with a chance of some more sun???

Maybe you could make a raincoat! Stunning oil cloth. How hard was it to sew?

Not, difficult, just a bit of a fiddle due to the stiffness. My machine ably sewed through 5 layers on the piped cushion (through the envelope closure folds). Next some basket liners. Watch this space.

I’m always so impatient to crack on with a project when I have set my mind to it.
If only I’d waited. At least my cushions are bright and cheery, if not not classy!

There is only so much you can make in oil cloth! However if I hadn’t been so impatient to get my cushions made I would have used one of these.
